Rex A. Ricks, Sr.

Pastor Rex A. Ricks, Sr. has a gregarious personality that attracts believers and non-believers alike. His extraordinary spirit of generosity surges through every component of his ministry and his personal life. Having received his mandate from God, Pastor Rex obediently fulfills his calling as Senior Pastor of Shekinah Glory Fellowship Center in Fayetteville, Georgia, and Asheboro, North Carolina. Called into ministry at the age of twelve, his gift was cultivated through the vigilant mentorship of his father, Bishop James R. Ricks, Sr. (an assiduous Pastor for over five decades).

Pastor Rex initiated his theological studies at the Atlanta School of Biblical Studies. He later completed his ministerial training at the renowned Crenshaw Christian Center Ministry Training Institute in Los Angeles, CA, founded by Apostle Frederick K.C. Price. Pastor Rex has over nineteen years of teaching and counseling, which enables him to reach others with humor, warmth, transparency, and wisdom. His increased pivotal focus on ministry, spiritual growth, outreach, and relevant application of the Word has led him to further pursue a Master of Divinity degree in Theology at Atlantic Coast Theological Seminary. Pastor Rex is an author, and he is also a Licensed Professional Christian Therapist through the American Association of Christian Therapists.

Pastor Rex’s vision is candidly apparent, with one fundamental principle; to increase and develop a congregation of empowered people for the kingdom of God. He and his wife, Pastor Tracy are an anointed couple that God is using to make purposeful changes in people’s lives. As a potent ministry team, they are committed servants of God, working together to make Shekinah Glory Fellowship Center – “A Place Where Everybody is Important.”

Pastor Rex uses innovative methods to teach his congregation and others how to tangibly apply the word of God to their everyday lives. Laboring in his theological studies, Pastor Rex exegetes the principles, laws, statutes, and covenants of God in an approach that is relatable to all audiences. His passion for expository teaching has allowed him to “live out” his convictions and remain indisputably faithful to his life in ministry and his family. He ministers the word of God with such power, authority, and conviction that it transforms the lives of all who are willing.

God has given Pastor Rex a heart for His people and a mandate to teach His true and uncompromising Word – “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” – John 8:32. He is committed to fulfilling the absolute vision that God has given to Shekinah Glory Fellowship Center and beyond. He is definitely not afraid to trust God and to think BIG.

Pastor Rex A. Ricks, Sr. is a native of Trinity, NC, and currently resides in Fayetteville, GA with his wife, Pastor Tracy S. Ricks, and their three children, Christina, Rex Jr., and Tia.
